Shaw & Smith was started by two cousins, Martin Shaw and Michael Hill Smith, the latter the first Australian to pass the Master of Wine exam. Their Shiraz is grown in the cooler, higher country of the Adelaide Hills, some distance in style from the warm Barossa reds most people associate with the grape in South Australia. The bottle here is the 2021.
