Four Alsace grapes share this bottle: Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Gewurztraminer and Riesling, a quartet planted far more widely in eastern France than in California. Sinskey released the 2019 Abraxas as a blend rather than a varietal wine, which is why it goes out under a proprietary name: US labeling rules require 75% of a single grape before that grape can appear on the front label.
