Spy Valley takes its name from the government satellite listening station that sits beside its vineyards in Marlborough's Waihopai Valley, on New Zealand's South Island. The 2022 Pinot Noir is grown in that inland valley, where the ground climbs away from the Wairau flats that turned the region's Sauvignon Blanc into a global commodity.
