Mozia is a small island in the Stagnone lagoon off western Sicily, a Phoenician settlement excavated by the Whitaker family whose name the estate still carries. Vines grow there on flat, salt-exposed ground within sight of the Marsala salt pans. Grillo, bottled here as a 2024 Sicilia DOC white, spent most of its history feeding Marsala production rather than dry table wine.
