The 2016 Bocca di Lupo reveals aromas of balsamic vinegar along with ripe fruit, chocolate and sweet spice. On the palate, the wine is enveloping and complex with vibrant tannins and a long finish.

Tormaresca is the Antinori family's Puglian estate, and this 2016 Bocca di Lupo leans on Aglianico grown in the north of the region, not the Salento peninsula that supplies most of Puglia's red wine. Aglianico is more usually associated with Campania and Basilicata, so its use here marks out the hill country of northern Puglia.
