Volpaia - 2019 - Coltassala - 750 ml.

The Coltassala has a vivid ruby color. This is a well-structured, complex wine with an elegant nose and hints of vanilla, cacao and fruit.

Coltassala takes its name from a vineyard at Volpaia, the walled medieval hamlet above Radda in Chianti where the estate's cellars and vats occupy buildings along the village lanes. Radda sits close to 600 metres, among the higher ground in Chianti Classico, and the 2019 is a Sangiovese-based red.
