Wölffer Estate farms at Sagaponack on the South Fork of Long Island, close enough to the Atlantic that the growing season starts slowly and finishes late. Perle is the name on this 2022 Chardonnay. The South Fork holds only a handful of wineries and a small fraction of the vineyard acreage found across the bay on the North Fork.
