The Caley takes its name from Fred Caley Smith, a member of the Yalumba family who travelled widely studying viticulture in the 1890s. Cabernet Sauvignon blended with Shiraz is a distinctly Australian formula, seldom made anywhere else, and the 2018 follows it using South Australian fruit.
